Start with hotel pick-up in the morning and drive along the Red Sea coast toward Marsa Egila, enjoying views of turquoise water and quiet desert landscapes. Upon arrival, your guide provides a safety briefing and helps you with snorkeling equipment before you enter the calm bay. Begin your first snorkeling session over shallow coral gardens where visibility is crystal clear and sea turtles often glide peacefully above the seagrass beds; colorful reef fish—such as butterflyfish, parrotfish, and anemonefish—surround the vibrant corals. After snorkeling, take a short beach break in a shaded area to relax and enjoy light refreshments while learning about the marine life that inhabits this protected bay. Continue with a second snorkeling session along the southern reef, known for larger turtles, hard coral formations, and occasional sightings of eagle rays or blue-spotted stingrays. Around midday, enjoy a picnic-style lunch by the beach while taking in the quiet natural surroundings. After lunch, you have free time to swim, snorkel again, take underwater photos, or simply rest on the sand with a cup of Bedouin tea. In late afternoon, pack up and drive back to your hotel in Marsa Alam, arriving before early evening, concluding a relaxing and memorable Red Sea day.
No — the bay is calm, shallow in many areas, and ideal for beginners. Life jackets are available, and a professional guide assists you throughout the snorkeling sessions.
Marsa Egila is known for sea turtles, colorful reef fish, and healthy coral gardens. Sightings vary by day, but turtles are very common due to the seagrass beds in the bay.
Bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and any personal medications. Snorkeling equipment and lunch are provided, but you may bring your own gear if you prefer.
